Youth Music is one of the National Lottery's great success stories. This charity was set up in 1999, with a vision to establish a music- making legacy particularly for youngsters who would not otherwise get the chance.  So far over one million children (birth - 18 years old) have had opportunities to make music through Youth Music.

Glastonbury Kids Field

Since 2003, staff from Surrey Strings and Abbey Music School have travelled to the Glastonbury festival with many guitars and violins to run a children’s stringed instrument music workshop. The children have great fun being taught to play and this initiates an interest in music. The instruments you donate to us that are in less than good working order are great for this occasion. Obviously all lessons are free for the whole festival.
